Terms of Service

Effective date: July 12, 2026. "Scour", "we" and "us" refer to Justin Sheshagiri Rao, operating Scour at getscour.app.

What Scour is

Scour monitors publicly available product listings against buying terms you define and alerts you when those terms appear to be met. Scour is an alerting tool: it does not sell products, process purchases, or buy anything on your behalf.

Accuracy — no guarantees

Prices, shipping, taxes, availability, and inventory come from third-party sources and can change at any time, including between our last check and your click. Scour shows when each price was observed and flags unknown values as unknown, but we do not guarantee that any alert is accurate, current, or complete. Always verify the full price at the seller's checkout before buying. Purchases are strictly between you and the seller.

Your account and acceptable use

You must provide a valid email address and keep your password secure; you are responsible for activity under your account. You agree not to abuse the service — including attempting to circumvent plan limits or rate limits, scraping or reselling Scour's data, interfering with the service, or using it for anything unlawful. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Plans

Scour is currently free, with usage limits that we may change. If paid plans are introduced, their terms will be presented before you pay anything.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for purchase decisions made based on alerts — including missed deals, price differences at checkout, or listings that turn out to be unavailable or misdescribed.

Changes and termination

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced on this page with an updated effective date. You can stop using Scour and delete your account at any time (see Support).

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, and disputes are subject to the courts of Ontario, Canada.
